What is ZinKlad 1000B?
- ZinKlad 1000B is a black hexavalent
chromium-free coating
- It combines a zinc-nickel deposit
(of 8 microns minimum thickness) with
a high build black trivalent passivate and topcoat
- It meets automotive standards for >1000 hours resistance to red rust
- It has predictable torque tension characteristics
Metallic Coating
ZinKlad 1000B deposits are applied using Enviralloy Ni electroplating processes. These provide uniform, bright and adherent zinc-nickel deposits which can be post plate deformed if required.
Trivalent Passivation
TriPass ELV range of high build trivalent passivate films are applied over the zinc nickel electroplated coating to give the desired black colour and extend corrosion resistance against the formation of white rust.
Topcoat
Torque’n’Tension control fluids or HydroKlad topcoats provide increased corrosion resistance and where applicable modify surface tribology to ensure uniform torque and clamping characteristics.
