Established in 1970 to produce bicycle, motorcycle and industrial chains the company under the second generation of Mr. Hua-Tien Wu decided to specialize solely in chains for bicycles in Taiwan!

TAYA has decided to continue and maintain majority of production in Taiwan for the foreseeable future.

The decision is simple not radical, although it is quite contra to the current strategy of many Taiwan companies. Moves to new territories and foreign lands when not entirely necessary swallow up a great deal of capital; create quality and delivery problems and bring great stress and disruption to the lives of staff and workers.

The money and energy that would have been lost, for a relatively small financial saving, TAYA has invested in more and more sophisticated methods of production, machinery, plant and technological chain design.
This consolidation, centralization and specialization are this company’s continuing philosophy and in this way it remains competitive and reliable.

In 1999 a new TAYA factory was opened and installed with TEBOLON anti-rust coating equipment for the treatment of bicycle chains for use in salty, polluted and acid / alkaline situations. This has proved to be a great success in coastal areas and wherever severe weather conditions prevail. TAYA’s expertise in this field has created a demand for this coating for other bicycle components and from many other industries in Taiwan.
